ALEKSANDER MEIUSI
I have always been interested in the creative process. Whether the project is as simple as creating a fun video with friends, submitting a meaningful documentary to a film festival or developing advertisements and other marketing material for a corporate client, building a cohesive story and conveying the key message in a compelling way is what I strive for in everything I create. Throughout high school I worked on honing my skills and gaining work experience through as many digital media and physical art projects I had the opportunity to be involved with. Since the beginning of my high school career, as part of my school's CyberArts program, I created countless pieces as part of my course work but just as many outside the classroom. My most cherished digital medium is film. I have done extensive still and video photography, audio engineering and editing to create many final products that I am genuinely proud of. Throughout my high school learning experience, I have become very skilled in using the Adobe Suite. Software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and especially Adobe Premiere have become some of my essential everyday tools in my production process. Not to mention my experience with 3D software such as Blender. Through my experience working with various companies and organizations I have not only learned how to advertise for others, but improved how I market and present myself and my work. My passion for the craft and my dedication to getting the details right, continue to open opportunities for me to polish my skill set. As a student in Ryerson's RTA: Media Production program, I am continuing to expand my knowledge of the field, enhance my skills as well as obtain the practical experience needed to pursue a career in the craft I love.
